In lesson 2 of our circles unit, we talk about arcs and their measures, and how they relate to central angles. We add a couple parts to our circle, distinguish between minor and major arcs, and solve problems using arc measures and central angles.
After what seems like years of talking about triangles, we are finally moving into our unit on circles. In this lesson, we learn about the different parts of a circle, compare radius and diameter, and start solving problems with area and circumference. Check out more inside!
A one-stop shop for all things “trig.” In this lesson, we review all of the lessons in our right triangle trigonometry unit and prepare for the Unit 7 Test. Check inside for more details.
We take a more in-depth look at Sin, Cos, and Tan during this lesson, in which we continue our unit on right triangle trig. We learn how we can use these ratios to find the length of missing sides and the measures of missing angles in right triangles.
In this lesson, we get an introduction to the three basic trigonometric functions: Sine, Cosine, and Tangent. We can use SOH-CAH-TOA to help us remember the relationships between the opposite, adjacent, and hypotenuse sides of a right triangle.
